Basic Icing Recipe:

2 Pounds Powdered Sugar
Dash of Salt
2 Tablespoons Clear Vanilla
1 Cup Crisco or Real Butter (Real Butter works best)
1/3 Cup of Water (more may needed to reach desired consistency)

Combine all ingredients and beat on high for approximately 10 minutes. Store in an airtight container.

Professionals Choice Icing Recipe:

1 ¼ Cups Shortening or Real Butter (Real Butter works best)
Dash of Salt
2 Pounds Powdered Sugar
1 Cup Cool Water
2 Teaspoons Butter Flavor
2 Teaspoons White Vanilla
2 Teaspoons White Corn Syrup

Combine all ingredients and beat on high for 20 minutes. Reduce speed to low for an additional 2 minutes to remove air bubbles. Add additional powdered sugar if necessary to reach desired consistency. Store in an airtight container.
